Tracking printer expenses should be automated


We have tons of things to do and often, printers are not on that list. So what happens is that when time is good (or its time to look at upgrading the printers) we start analyzing the printers.


Printers can be heavy on the budget and costs can quickly escalate. Back in the days, it would be time-consuming to make these audits and the result would quickly be outdated.

Here are 5 pieces of advice:

  3. If you have service/lease contacts, put them in the system one time for all

  4. Choose when you want to be notified and how. I.e. high-level cost report

  5. Share the data with your dealer in case you are considering to buy new printers. This will make life easier for you and them as they will quickly understand how printers are utilized. This will make it much faster to conclude if you should consider re-arranging your printers or replace with newer technology.

Regardless if you have 1 or 1000 printers its can quickly be expensive not tracking costs however days of having to spend hours and days to create an overview is over. In 2020 you have plenty of technology that will save you a lot of time.
